The following statement has been agreed by both the current USACA Administration and the Council of Leagues -
In the interests of furthering Cricket in the USA, we are pleased to announce that all sides in the current United States of America
Cricket Association matter have agreed to suspend the pending legal proceedings until November 7, 2005, in order to try and work
out a settlement that will benefit the cricket playing public in this country.
The parties have agreed to a twelve member interim Board of Directors. The Board will be charged with running USACA as a
cohesive unit until November 7, 2005, and interacting with the ICC and the Cricket Community at large. In addition, the Board will
be working together towards an amicable settlement of the lawsuit. It was the consensus of both sides that by working together they
could iron out the details of the election and governance issues that are currently in dispute in a manner that would be preferable to
the results that could be obtained through continued litigation.
Because Judge Gold has entered an order prohibiting the parties and their attorneys from
commenting on the pending litigation, no other information concerning the lawsuit will be forthcoming until November 7, 2005. This said, it is the parties' hope that by
working together the 12 member interim Board will be able to agree on a consensus means of resolving this lawsuit and moving
USA cricket forward.
