Major U-15 Tournament in Chicago in August 2005

Major League Cricket Inc (MLC) and the Cricket Sporting Academy of Chicago (CSA) have announced that a major U-15 tournament in the USA is to be held in during the first week of August 2005.
Major League Cricket Incorporated (MLC) was established by Bernard J. Cameron in 2000, and counts Clive Lloyd and Desmond Haynes among its associates. Since it’s inception, MLC has done extensive research and planning to formulate its comprehensive business and marketing plans, presented MLC cricket events and tournaments and laid the groundwork for localized league affiliations.
The Cricket Sporting Academy operates 10 satellite facilities in the Chicago area offering an objective driven coaching program for over 250 young cricketers throughout the year. It has invited world renowned cricketers to visit on a continual basis bringing workshops, and innovative techniques, and giving its students an added excitement for a more stimulating cricket experience.
According to MLC, a national search has been initiated for 4 teams in addition to the 6 teams who have agreed to participate in the Chicago U-15 Cricket Open. Chidambar Joshi, MLC tournament official and head of the Cricket Sporting Academy (CSA), added that the 6 teams that initially agreed to participate are- two from Canada, two from the Chicago area, one from New York and one team from Kansas. Mr. Joshi also indicated that MLC and CSA were investigating the possibility of assembling a U.S. National U-15 team from the players that participate.
