Profile: CCL Cougars will launch their bid for the regional championship under the dynamic leadership of Kitsiri Diasabeygunawardena, or in simple words Kit. Kit is the only player in the CCL team who has played for the USA team. Kit is an exceptionally good wicket Keeper and a very attractive middle order batsman, a great leader with an ability to instill his vision in the team and make them gel together.

Dipal Patel
Profile: Left handed medium pacer and very attacking batsman, Dipal is one of the main members of one of the best clubs in CCL namely Fort Collins CC.

Profile: If someone tells me that there is a better fielder than Mike Doigin the region (Dallas, Austin and Houston included) I will pay to watch him fielding as I am sure there are not many of that breed in the world. A good batsman and a very decent bowler but he finds a spot in the team as a fielder.

North Texas Cricket Association (NTCA, from Dallas area) won the regional championship last year in Houston and is made up of very fine players. Here are their profiles:
1.Goutham Morab - Captain
Profile: Goutham has been in amazing form this year. He has scored 380 runs in 5 innings so far. He is a genuine swing bowler and a very stable left-handed batsman. He has represented the Central West last year.
2. Rahul Kukreti - Vice Captain
Profile: Rahul has represented the US national team and was part of the winning USA team in Sharjah last year. He is a solid opening batsman and an excellent wicket keeper. Rahul has been consistently representing the Central West region for the last few years.
3.Roshan Rao
Profile: Roshan is an elegant left-handed batsman who has been in fine nick the last two seasons. Roshan is technicallycorrect and can change gears as the situation demands with ease. Roshan is a thrill to watch and is a true play maker.
4.Ashar Khan
Profile: Ashar is a fast bowler in terrific form. He has already taken 19 wickets in 6 matches in the NTCA Premier Division. Ashar has also represented USA "A" team in their tour to Malaysia a couple of years ago. He is young and energetic player.
5.Nadeem Haroon
Profile: Nadeem is a gritty batsman with an impeccable defense and a penchant for big scores. He loves a challenge and usually comes up with a big performance when the chips are down. He is also very useful as a leg spinner.
6.Dennis Vengala
Profile: Dennis is a stylish right handed batsman very much in the VVS Laxman mold. In fact one would be surprised at the close resemblance of their stroke play. Dennis has been in good nick this season and will be a treat to watch if he gets going.
7.Tanveer Bhimani
Profile: Tanveer is an excellent wicketkeeper who has found his touch with the bat this season. He is lightning quick running between the wickets and also chasing down the ball. His speed is unrivalled in the
NTCA.
8.Alpesh Patel
Profile: Alpesh has shown glimpses of what a destructive a batsman he could be when he gets going. He has been a part of the Kenya under-19 team for a while before moving to Dallas two seasons ago. Alpesh is also a very good fielder who doesn’t think twice about diving around to stop the ball.
9.Vinod Shankar
Profile: Vinod is one of the most energetic and talented all rounder one has seen. His ability as a right-handed batsman can be a destructive one with a great strike rate. He also rolls his aright arm over with decent pace and swing. Vinod is a veteran of NTCA and thrill to watch on and off the field.
10.Vinay
Krishnappa
Profile: Vinay is a well built young fast bowler with plenty of potential. He has added a couple of yards of pace this season which has turned out to be a major difference for him. He has been troubling every batsman with his pace and accuracy. He is also good at giving the ball a whack lower down the order.
11.Sachin Shah
Profile: Sachin had a great year last season where he scored two centuries in the premier division. He is a very aggressive opening batsman and a useful off spin bowler. He also has a very positive never say die attitude.
12.Umer Musharraf
Profile: Umer is the new kid on the block. He is a 17 year old kid who has been taking NTCA by storm with his off spinners. Umer generates plenty of turn and his loop is extremely deceptive.
13.Sudharshan Chavva
Profile: Sudha has been the Dallas strike bowler for many years now. He still has the nip to trouble all batsmen and is very aggressive on the field. Sudha is more than useful with the bat and has contributed heavily in the middle order for his club in the last two seasons.
14.Paresh Chhotu - Manager/Coach
Profile: Paresh has been involved with NTCA cricket for over 7 years and is currently the treasurer of the Association. He brings a tremendous experience managing teams on tours in the past and is also known by all to be fair and just and would go a long way in keeping things together in Colorado. He is also a useful slow right arm deceptive bowler and loves batting down the line when runs are needed.
